Head Start in Your Home
You and your child may be eligible to receive comprehensive Head Start services in your own home. With Home-based Head Start, a home visitor comes once a week to collaborate with parents to provide a high-quality, developmentally-appropriate education for their child/ren. The home visitor and parent partner to ensure the child and family is healthy and ready to succeed in school and life. They utilize the home environment to strengthen parent-child interactions while establishing daily routines and to foster social-emotional skills. Parents build leadership skills and learn about community resources while their children interact with other children during monthly socializations.

Home-based Head Start Eligibility
To be eligible for Home-based Head Start services from The Family Conservancy, you must meet the following criteria:
- Live in one of the following Missouri counties: Clay, Platte or Jackson.
- Be an expectant mother or have a child 0-5.
- Be income-eligible, receiving public assistance (TANF or SSI) or experiencing homelessness.
- Children in foster care placements are eligible.
