Child care and Head Start are essential to families, small businesses, and our economy — yet approved federal funding for these programs has been delayed and threatened.

Congress already authorized these funds. Providers have already delivered care. Families are counting on these services. And still, child care programs and Head Start providers across Kansas and Missouri are being left in limbo.

Thanks to a court order, some funds have been temporarily released, but temporary fixes are not enough. We need permanent, stable funding so families, providers, and communities can plan for the future with confidence.
